Link of the Week!

From the studio that brought you Psychonauts, Grim Fandango, Brutal Legends, The Cave, and Costume Quest comes another gem that's sure to catch your eye!

Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure video game telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the car of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world.

Above is a video Double Fine released showing off the first act to their game, and below is some of the art and designs from the game which are wonderfully done. You can find more posts about their games and studio on their tumblr, main website, insragram, and twitter.

1) On Feburary 28th, this coming Friday, we will be talking with Dan Elson who works as a background painter for Uncle Grandpa! Make sure to have some questions ready to ask him!

This week in the collective we had one of our amazing leaders, Jinny Hinkle, give a demo on how to properly display your work online! She also showed some sites and techniques that are helpful for getting your name out and amongst other artists. We received a lot of fantastic questions from everyone who came and enjoyed hearing your recommendations on websites to display art!

Just a reminder, if you'd like notes from the meeting feel free to send us an email or ask a leader!
