Digital Tutors helps you make movies, video games and more with the largest online video-based training and tutorial library for CG, 3D, animation and VFX.
JOINING DIGITAL TUTORS:
Step 1) Be sure to be on campus when you first setup your account. Why? It has something to do with using the school's IP address.
Step 2) Start at the school home page at - http://start.ccad.edu/
Step 3) Click on Library.
Step 4) On the left side of the screen, under Packard Library, click Subject Guides.
Step 5) Click on Animation on the right side of the table.
Step 6) Click on either the Digital Tutors logo, or the name right underneath it.
Step 7) Create an account using your CCAD email!
Lynda is a learning platform that teaches a growing range of computer skills in video format. It is used by many high-profile businesses, such as Disney, Google, and Adobe.

Toon Boom is a Canadian software company that specializes in animation production software. Toon Boom's client base ranges from professional studios to individual animators and colleges. Prestigious customers include Studios such as Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Toon Boom's Harmony is described as "the most complete animation software for professionals, offering award winning state-of-the-art content creation, animation and compositing toolsets".
Toon Boom's Pencil Check Pro is a line testing software.
Toon Boom's Storyboard Pro is used to create storyboards that can be printed.
Autodesk, Inc. is an American multinational corporation that focuses on 3D design software for use in architecture, engineering and building construction, manufacturing, and media and entertainment.
Autodesk Maya is used to create interactive 3D applications, including video games, animated film, TV series, or visual effects.
Mudbox is a computer-based 3D sculpting and painting tool.
Adobe Systems is historically focused upon the creation of multimedia and creativity software products. You have access to the whole creative suite! Here are some options....
Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editing program.
Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editing program.
Adobe Flash is a multimedia platform used to create animation, video, and interactivity products.
Adobe Premiere Pro is a timeline-based video editing software application.
Adobe After Effects is a digital motion graphics and compositing software.
ZBrush is a digital sculpting tool that combines 3D modeling, texturing and painting.
Final Cut Pro is a non-linear video editing software.
Soundtrack Pro is a music composing and audio editing application, which includes a collection of just over 5000 royalty free professional instrument loops and sound effects.
Modo is a polygon and subdivision surface modeling, sculpting, 3D painting, animation and rendering package.
Blender Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software product used for creating animated films, visual effects, interactive 3D applications or video games. Blender's features include 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging and skinning, fluid and smoke simulation, particle simulation, animating, rendering, video editing and compositing.
Cinema 4D is a 3D modeling, animation and rendering application.
Corel Painter is a raster-based digital art application created to simulate as accurately as possible the appearance and behavior of traditional media associated with drawing, painting, and printmaking.
