1) The Advanced Time Based Projects Class is looking for talented 2D animators to help with the animated short, Aria. This is a semester long project and whoever volunteers will get their name in the credits as well as something to put in their portfolio. They are looking for the cream of the crop and people who are willing to work on weekends to help the project succeed. Last week the wonderful Phil Garrett was our special guest and he spoke with us about his time in the film industry!
He's worked on such popular movies as Shrek 2, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Minority Report, and many others. His experiences working various jobs with films were great points of interest to hear and learn from, and he offered a lot of inspiring advice for furthering ourselves as artists getting into the industry.
If you would like the notes from this weeks meeting which includes links to the videos he showed just inform a leader!
